چکیده
Abstract When we use secure computer systems, engage with carefully orchestrated and ordered interactions called “security ceremonies”, all of which exist to assure security. A great deal attention has been paid improving the usability these ceremonies over last two decades, make them easier for end-users with. Yet, improvements do not seem have endeared end users ceremonies. As a consequence, human actors might subvert ceremony’s processes or avoid engaging it. Here, consider whether beautification could be one way making more appealing. To explore in this context, carried out three studies. Study 1 surveyed 250 participants derive wide range potential dimensions “beautiful ceremonies”. These statements were sorted into dominant themes converted statements, fed second study, 309 respondents, reveal constituting beauty. 3 asked 41 carry Q-sort, revealed ways that people combine identified when characterising security as “beautiful”. studies allowed us pin down perceived beauty context ceremonies, also understand how different judging beautiful, confirming old adage being “in eye beholder”. We conclude by highlighting constraints imposed overarching requirement maintained face any endeavours.

Layered Analysis of Security Ceremonies
A security ceremony expands a security protocol with everything that is considered out of band for it. Notably, it incorporates the user, who, according to their belief systems and cultural values, may be variously targeted by social engineering attacks. متن کاملA Proposed Framework for Analysing Security Ceremonies
The concept of a ceremony as an extension of network and security protocols was introduced by Ellison. There are no currently available methods or tools to check correctness of the properties in such ceremonies. The potential application for security ceremonies are vast and fill gaps left by strong assumptions in security protocols. Assumptions include the provision of cryptographic keys and co...
